Eid al Adha Prayers 1441 H

July 26, 2020 by icnAdmin

Assalamu Alaikum brothers and sisters,

Eid Al Adha prayers at the Islamic Center of Naples.

Eid al Adha 1441, will be on Friday, 07/31/2020, Insha Allah.

We are planning two Eid prayers. The first one to start at 7:30 am and the second one at 8:30 am. With social distancing and all the CDC guidelines still in place, we can only accommodate 60 brothers and 15 sisters in each session. Kids under 14 still should not attend.

The first session starts at 7:30 am and ends at 7:55 am. The second session will start at 8:30 am and ends at 8:55 am. If our parking lot is full, please park at the Mayflower Church which is across the street from us. We have obtained their permission for this request.

To allow for proper social distancing, only 60 brothers and 15 sisters can be accommodated inside the masjid. First come, first seated. Those who arrive after the masjid reaches 75 people capacity will have to wait in their cars until the second Eid prayers start. No exceptions will be made due to Covid19.

Volunteers will be available to assist with traffic and entrance monitoring to the masjid including temperature check. We ask you to please respect their guidance and directions.

It is incumbent on the community to adhere to the guidelines to the best of our ability — for the benefit of each other more than our selves. Out of respect and trust that we have for each other we expect you to follow these guidelines:

  1. We will conduct a temperature check upon your arrival.
  2. Please make sure you wear your face mask during your stay inside the masjid. One free mask will be provided if you don’t have one.
  3. Please bring your prayer rug.
  4. Use hand sanitizer when entering and exiting the masjid.
  5. Come in with wudu. It is not recommended to make wudu at the masjid.
  6. Perform prayers in areas marked to maintain social distancing guidelines

Upon completion of your Eid prayers, please depart. No hugging or shaking hands due to Covid19 concerns.

No breakfast is planned for this day.

Also, a family is preparing an Eid gift bag for our kids. Alhamdulillah. These gift bags will be distributed via a drive-through process from 9:15 am to 10:15 am. Make Dua for this family for their generosity, kindness, and willingness to make this extra effort.

We appreciate your cooperation and support as we hold this special event safely and responsibly. Insha Allah.

Jazakumullah Khair.

Islamic Center of Naples TO CANCEL ALL ACTIVITIES UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

March 19, 2020 by icnAdmin

Assalamu ‘Alaikum Brothers and Sisters,

The committee members of the Islamic Center of Naples along with our respected Imam Muhammad Nour have made the difficult decision to cancel all activities at the Masjid until further notice. As such, the Masjid will NOT be open for regular daily prayers and there will be NO Friday Prayer services at least for the next 2 weeks, beginning effectively today, Wednesday, March 18, 2020.

No Friday Prayers for Friday, March 20 and March 27, 2020.

We have also followed the advice of Islamic scholars and religious authorities, who emphasize the importance of protecting life and preventing harm, and the decisions of many other Masjids and Islamic centers throughout the United States.

We will keep you informed and updated as conditions change and when we will be open for regular prayers and Friday congregational services.

For further information about the virus please visit the Center for Disease Control (CDC) website at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/about/index.html

Additionally, please let us know of any elders or needy people in our community that may need help with shopping, running errands, picking up prescription medication, etc.

We apologize for any inconvenience and hope that The Almighty will eradicate this pandemic soon and get us back in action together as a community in no time, Insha Allah! In the interim, let’s use this personal time to reflect and turn to our Allah in repentance and mend all of our relationships, with Him and with all of His creation. This quarantine may be a blessing in disguise. Stay hopeful, positive and safe! See you all very soon Insha Allah!

Jazakum Allahu Khair
