5th Annual Turkish Food Festival on February 24th & 25th (Saturday & Sunday)

Assalamu ‘Alaykum,

Eid Al Adha this year will be either Friday, September 1st or Saturday, September 2nd, 2017. We will communicate the exact date by Friday, August 25th or you can visit our website at www.icnaples.org for this information, Insha Allah.

We have received several requests to provide our community with this year’s Qurbani information. Below are 3 options available for our area:

1. Brother Sultan who owns a farm in the Clewiston area will participate in helping us with Qurbani. His rate this year is $300.00 for a goat or lamb. The average weight for a lamb is 90 to 120 lbs, and for a goat is 80 to 90 lbs. Please call him by Monday, August 28th. His phone number is 1-954-559-1354.
   
   You will need to order in advance and go to his farm on Eid day for Qurbani. His address is 4200 Pioneer, 15th Street, Clewiston, FL 33440. The folks helping to sacrifice the animal will charge $10.00 to $15.00 for this service. They will cut the meat to your needs and you can take the meat home with you that day, Insha Allah.
2. Apna Bazaar in Fort Lauderdale is the second location who will help us with Qurbani. Rate this year is $275.00 for a goat or lamb. A cow is $220.00 per share. You will need to call br. Ashfaq by Monday, August 28th at 1-954-742-5757. The address is as follows 8330 West Oakland Park Blvd., Sunrise, FL 33351.
   
   Please call him and give him your name, contact information and tell him under which name to do the Qurbani. He will tell you what day and time you can go there to pick up your sacrificed meat. We recommend that you partner up with another brother or sister and one can go to pick up for 3 to 4 family to save multiple families traveling to Fort Lauderdale and you all can split the gas and travel expense.
3. The flyer below can be used to donate as Qurbani Udhiyah. You can check for prices and country location. The flyer also has a website you can visit to donate or you can call 1-855-447-1001.

We are not recommending any one place, please use your best judgment and whatever suits best for you and your family.

We plan to start our children Qur’an classes this year starting on Sunday, August 6th, 2017 at the Islamic Center of Naples, Inshallah. Details as follows:

• Class 1 for advanced kids will be held between 11.00am to 12.15pm. Inshallah.
• Break time from 12.15pm to 12.30pm.
• Class 2 for elementary kids will be held between 12.30pm to 1.30pm. Inshallah. Kids attending the 12.30pm session we are recommending that they stay for Duhr prayers with Imam Nour.

Minimum age requirement “5” years old.

Maximum class size 12 children.

Please be aware that seats are limited as we have limited resources too. However, we will try to accommodate all children if possible. Inshallah.

There will be no snack time this year and children are encouraged to bring water or juice from home.

For kids from last year, Imam Nour will decide whether they remain in elementary or advanced class. We will notify the parents of his decision and get their approval. If further conversation needs to happen that will be discussed with respective parents and Imam Nour.
